After letting go of Amari Cooper last offseason, the Dallas Cowboys reportedly dealt for a perimeter weapon on Sunday to line up opposite CeeDee Lamb; for eerily similar compensation.

According to the NFL's official account, Dallas sent a 2023 fifth round pick and a 2024 6th round pick to the Texans in exchange for veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks.

It didn't take long for Cooper's name to come back up once news of the trade came down.

"The Cowboys are making WIN-NOW MOVES," tweeted Robert Griffin III. "They have traded for 29 Year old Brandin Cooks and 32 Year old Stephon Gilmore. Two established playmakers at their most important positions of need. Its an admission of the Amari Cooper trade mistake and a different approach this off-season."

"If you don't understand why the Cowboys traded away Amari Cooper last year to then trade for Brandin Cooks this year for basically the same compensation just look up Ezekiel Elliott's contract from the last couple years," a user said.

"We can finally put the Amari Cooper discourse to rest. I am one happy man," commented The Landry Hat.

"Did the Cowboys just acknowledge their Amari Cooper error in acquiring Brandin Cooks?" asked Dallas sports radio's Chuck Cooperstein.

"One of the best parts of the Brandin Cooks trade is that it shows the Cowboys are finally beyond the Amari Cooper trade fallout and being unwilling to accept that it was a loss on their end," pointed out RJ Ochoa.

Should Amari still be wearing No. 19 in Dallas?
